Beating holiday blues, Costa Blanca

Booking your holiday early is a perfect way to beat the post holiday blues, according to celebrity psychologist Donna Dawson.

The behavioural and personality psychologist said that booking holidays early were a great way to beat the holiday blues because dreaming about your sun-shine filled break keeps you in a positive frame of mind.

"The other thing is - you obviously get the best deals and you're very likely to get a flight from your local airport.

"Half the stress is actually travelling to the airport, whether you book a taxi or take public transport. People travel great distances to get a flight but if they can go to their local airport then the stress of travelling to the airport can be removed."

When flying to a holiday in Costa Blanca, booking early will enable you choose your ideal airport.

Flights to Alicante leave from Heathrow, Gatwick, and Stanstead as well as Manchester and Liverpool.

On arrival, holiday makers can take the picturesque drive from the airport to Javea, which takes you along the coastline of the Costa Blanca.

At Javea, holiday makers can take advantage of the temperatures that reach 40 degrees in the summer months.
