Be crowned royalty on a Costa Blanca holiday
Harrison Leaves-Hele from Waterlooville was crowned the King of the Costa Blanca during a ten-day fiesta in Teulada Moraira, reports Portsmouth Today.
The six-year-old, who moved with his family to the town two years ago, beat hundreds of Spanish children to gain the royal title during the fiesta.
Amid celebrations involving bulls charging through the streets and paella feasts, the young emigres name was picked out of a hat and he joined his female counterpart, a Spanish girl called Sara, as the royal heads of the popular holiday area.
Sharon Leaves-Hele, his mother, commented that it had never been heard of for a British boy to become a Spanish king - but spoke to the news provider about her love of Costa Blanca holidays.
"They certainly know how to have a party here," she commented.
The Spanish Property Owners Guild's Paul Bradley recently commented that most British people harbour fond memories of Spanish holidays from their childhoods, boosting the location's popularity in the UK.
