Alicante spying London Eye
Plans to construct a big wheel in the docks area of the city are being proposed by The Alicante Hostelry Association to give villa holiday makers a bird's eye view for miles around, hotproperty.co.uk reported.
Those that choose to stay in the traditional town of La Marina on their Costa Blanca break may even be able to see their villa and its private pool from the attraction.
Association president Jose Izquierdo is also reportedly backing plans for Alicante to hold more events for children and is pushing for the creation of a sea-facing landmark to be constructed before the Volvo Ocean Race.
Alicante is seen as one of the most popular destinations in the whole of Europe and recent figures flight search engine Skyscanner showed that the resort was the most searched for half-term holiday destination.
The town of La Marina boasts some of the offers some of the best beaches in the Costa Blanca with its rolling dunes and local charm.
