'Be better connected' on a Costa Blanca holiday
According to Typically Spanish, the central station is receiving a multi-million euro facelift involving the construction of a completely new futuristic, state-of-the-art building.
The building will be a hub for the tram, AVE high-speed train, Cercanaas local train lines and town buses, it says.
Holiday makers who love exploring can hop on a high-speed train and be in the Spanish capital of Madrid in just over three hours and discover everything that the historic city has to offer.
The resort of La Marina can be found just 20 minutes drive from Alicante Airport and beach lovers could be in heaven here - particularly a beach bum who likes peace and quiet as the area is relatively undiscovered.
Golfing enthusiasts are also just a short drive to Torreveija, which is home to several championship golf courses.
