Holiday bookings a priority for 21% of Brits, survey finds
Searching for a Costa Blanca villa holiday may be at the top of many individual's to-do list in January, as a new report has found people are still eager to enjoy a break abroad despite increasing pressure on their finances.
A survey conducted by Aviva revealed booking an annual summer holiday remains a priority for 21 per cent of people in 2012.
This comes ahead of protecting finances and family ties by purchasing life insurance, which was listed as important to three per cent of individuals.
However, the report did reveal 39 per cent of Brits plan to cut back on their spending and 35 per cent intend to prioritise paying off their debts this year.
As well as booking a holiday, purchasing a satellite television package ranked highly as being desirable with 50 per cent of respondents.
Elsewhere, a recent Teletext Holidays report revealed holidays in Spain are popular with Brits, as one in four children will have enjoyed a vacation in the country by the age of ten-years-old.
