Sartène is known for its excellent wine producing and you will notice many vineyards in the countryside around the town.

The pretty resort of St. Ambroggio sits on the Northern coast of Corsica and is easily accessed by car as well as the train from Calvi. The marina at St. Ambroggio is quite new and is certainly helping with the development of this small seaside town. There is a small curved and sandy beach as well as the yachting marina to walk around whilst admiring some of the small and not so small boats there. There are a number of shops and restaurants to enjoy around the harbour, however in the lower seasons you may need to go into Calvi for facilities.
