North-east Corfu is a villa hotspot
According to Country Life, this area of the island is where the high-flyers of the world want to holiday and want to own property.
In particular, the unspoilt resort of St Stefano is picked as the place to go, with its impressive rugged hills that peer over the sea at Albania.
Corfu is said to have a "longstanding allure for the aristocracy, fashionable society and captains of industry".
Interest in the island from the in-crowd has reached fever pitch following last year's infamous meeting between George Osborne, Peter Mandelson and a Russian oligarch - and you could be there with all the famous faces and world-beaters.
Also known as Agios Stephanos, the resort is still brimming with local charm, while adventurous holiday makers can leave their villa and explore the stunning secluded coves around the bay that are inaccessible by land.
