It was made famous as the residence of author Lawrence Durrell, who described his experience of the destination in the 1956 novel My Family And Other Animals.
Meanwhile, events guide What's On When has noted that each summer the Ionian Summer Music Academy is hosted in Corfu, treating holiday makers to indoor and outdoor concerts for free.
