Discover Albania on a Corfu holiday

Villa holiday makers can visit the intriguing county by boat as it lies just two kilometres offshore and contains a vast array of flora, fauna and natural beauties.

One of the most famous attractions in Albania is the Blue Eye, according to Balkan Travellers.

The spring is set amid a "forest of hazelnuts, walnuts, cherries, pines and fir trees" and the water in the centre appears very dark blue, giving the sensation of a blue eye that has to be seen to be believed.

Because Albania is so close, holiday makers can return to their traditional villa the same day and dine in the twilight next to their private pools, accompanied by a glass of local wine.
