Corfu to welcome new spa

To be found on the eastern coast of the island, the new spa will specialise in authentic spa treatments, while holiday makers there for the day can also grab a bite to eat and drink.

The Fairmont spa will be "bordered by olive groves, cypress-forested areas and sandy beaches with views of the Ionian Sea and the surrounding mountains".

Corfu holiday makers seeking a resort with a gem of a beach could do no better than renting a villa in Yaliskari in the north-east of the island.

Yaliskari can be found between Agni and Kalami and boasts a sheltered bay that is backed by pine-tree clad mountains.

Holiday makers can take a trip through olive groves back from the bay and return to their luxury villa for a glass of local wine and a home-cooked meal.
