Why not take a 'superb and affordable' Brittany golfing holiday?
Young golfers can work on their game at the Golf de Freslonniere Club on the outskirts of Rennes, while those who think they can give the professionals a run for their money can take part in the 2009 Brittany Pro-Am, which is hosted by the Pleneuf Val Andre Golf Club in May.
According to Brittany Tourism, whether golfing holiday makers select a friendly nine-hole course by the coast or a luxurious course at a private manor, the "breathtaking scenery combined with the choice of courses for experienced professionals and keen amateurs has ensured Brittanys place as an emerging European golf destination".
A total of 34 golf courses can be found all across the region and fees start from 33 euros (£30).
Having the use of a car is essential for those who rent a villa in Brittany to allow them to truly appreciate the beautiful countryside and take in all the varied fairways.
