See the Medieval Festival of Hennebont on a Brittany holiday

Every July, the town of Hennebont returns to medieval times for everyone on a Brittany holiday to enjoy alongside locals.

According to Brittany Tourism, the event kicks off on July 26th and last for two days.

During this time, the town centre turns back the clock and is full to the brim with arts and crafts, while merchants and craftsmen appear "in traditional dress showing off their wares".

"The festival allows the visitor to discover what life was like living in medieval times through feasts, combat training, tournaments and jousting," it adds.

Hennebont is a comfortable drive from Lorient airport and could be the perfect place to visit for those who wish to explore the north-west of France and areas such as Quimper and Vannes.
