Have a 'whale of a time' by setting sail to Brittany
Brittany offers all kind of nautical adventures, from sailing to yachting and cruising, according to easier.com.
The website claims that Brittany offers "fantastic year round family fun and educational options", which may make it ideal for parents looking for a location for the October half-term holidays.
With many highlights reported to cost as little as £26 per family, per day, the area fits in with those seeking a cheap villa holiday.
Holiday makers that are looking for a base to explore the Atlantic coast could stay in the quaint hamlet of Kervignac.
Kervignac is a few miles down the road from Lorient, France's second largest fishing port, where visitors could take a look at the shiny new Cite de la Voile sailing museum.
The interactive attraction focuses on France's sailing history, the website says, while those too scared to get behind the wheel of a real racing boat can try out the high-tech simulators on offer there.
