Get away from it all on a Brittany villa holiday
In an article for the Herald, the coastal village is described as the ideal place for a relaxing getaway, while also being fun for children.
"There are no noisy restaurants or bars. No hotels with entertainment every night. Just the beach, the sound of the waves and your family," the article states.
Holiday makers can walk along the rugged cliff tops and enjoy some breathtaking views, or spend time on the sandy beaches, where little ones can search rock pools for signs of life.
Traditional fishing villages that have remained unchanged for centuries also dot the coast, although there are also some larger towns and ports to explore.
For example, families can head to the walled city of Concarneau to browse around the shops and stalls and eat in street-side cafes and restaurants serving freshly-caught seafood.
Moelan sur Mer is also 15 minutes from the town of Quimperle, where tourists can wander around the old quarter or snap up some bargains at the Friday market.
