Dinard voted best Brittany beach

According to the site, Dinard also boasts casinos and a high-profile social calendar, but its golden sands are the best of a stunning selection of beaches in Brittany.

Its highly regarded status is said to be derived from being a hotspot for wealthy American and English holiday makers in the 19th century.

The site urges those on a Brittany holiday to "take a stroll along coastal footpaths dotted with boards displaying reproductions of artwork painted along the route" and "head east up to the Pointe du Moulinet for spectacular views over to St Malo".
