Brittany villa holiday 'perfect for children's first abroad break'
In an article for the Birmingham Mail, travel writer Edward Stephens said that until recently he had never taken his three young children out of the UK.
Determined to take them overseas for a holiday, he settled on Brittany in France, since it is a short ferry ride from the UK and has a pleasantly warm climate.
Mr Stephens said that in a quest to see the "real" France, he and his family toured the region at length, enjoying numerous day trips.
"Brittany feels like the Britain of old," he remarked. "A land where people take pleasure from making bread properly. Where they stop to talk. And to relax."
Families booking a villa holiday in Brittany with children could consider Huenan, which is ideally located for day trips to various towns and attractions.
These include the historic Breton town of Dinan, the walled port of Saint Malo and a little further along the coast, the impressive Mont St Michel.
