According to the official website for tourism in Brittany, there are 13 spas in the area offering treatments that embrace invigorating benefits of the ocean.

Thalassotherapy was developed in seaside towns such as St Malo and Carnac and involves warm salt water baths and seaweed body wraps.

There are thalassotherapy in both St Malo and Dinard, so those eager to try it out could rent a Brittany villa in Huenan, which is close to both port towns.

And of course holiday makers can expose themselves to some essential marine minerals without visiting a spa.

Indeed, Brittany's many beaches are perfect for bathing and the crisp sea air will leave visitors feeling totally refreshed.

Huenan itself has some great beaches as well as a well-preserved medieval quarter and a variety of shops and restaurants.
