'Top 5 brilliant botanical attractions' on a Brittany break
Brittany Tourism has selected the top five places to visit for green-fingered travellers looking for gardens to peruse.
Georges Delaselle Garden in Ile de Batz is said to offer a" unique and unexpected experience" on the Batz island - and t boasts a vast array of plant life from across the planet that look out of place in an Atlantic setting.
Those looking for a peaceful village not far from the Atlantic coast may like to consider Belz.
Meanwhile, Roscoff Exotic Garden in Roscoff boasts 3,000 tropical species of exotic plants from all over the world which bloom longer than they would inland.
"The garden features waterfalls, ornamental lakes with tortoises, rock gardens with cacti, agaves and aloe and an 18-metre high rock offers an outstanding panoramic view over the bay of Morlaix," the organisation added.
Others attractions selected include the Yves Rocher Botanical Garden in La Gacilly, Broceliande Gardens in Le Pommeret and Montmarin Garden in Pleurtuit.
