'Freewheel' on a Brittany holiday

Brittany Tourism suggests that holiday makers who rent a villa in the region can take advantage of 2,000 kilometres of cycle paths and discover everything that it has to offer.

Holiday makers can tour forests and woods, ride along lakesides, disused rail tracks and canals, while bikes can be rented for a handful of euros.

The French Cycle Touring Federation provides a range of services throughout the region, including guides and bike hire points.

In the region's historic towns, designated tracks ensure that stress-free cycling can be enjoyed.

What is more, many of the Breton islands have a no-car policy, so are a "haven for cyclists", the tourist board says.

So why not get on your bike and book a Brittany villa holiday?
