'Bag a bargain' on a Brittany holiday
On November 8th, residents of Brest will empty out their closets and basements to kit out the town's flea market will all manner of bargains and treasures.
This happens on the second Saturday of every month in the streets around the covered market of Les Halles Saint-Louis, according to What's on When.
"Bargain hunters can rummage through everything from 1950s gramophones to old records, 18th-century plates, books, clothes and more," the site says.
Entrance to the market is free, which could tempt visitors away from their private pool in the charming seaside town of Plouneour-Trez.
Holiday makers may even be able to pick up a bargain fishing rod to take back with them to Plouneour-Trez, which will allow them to take advantage of the area's rocky inlets and catch some dinner.
