'Art meets religion' on a Brittany holiday

According to Brittany Tourism, churches from the 15th and 16th centuries in the Pontivy region are opening their doors to holiday makers and locals to feast their eyes on some fabulous artwork this year.

"From Saint Nicodeme to Plumeliau there will be four visitor trails relating the countryside and religious heritage of the chapels to the contemporary sculptures and paintings," the organisation claims.

All this arty fun can be had between July 5th and September 14th of this year, so there is plenty of time to book your Brittany villa holiday in order to catch it all.

Pontivy is an inland area of Brittany and those in their hire cars could also explore the nearby Lorient or Vannes on their day out there.
