Migas Festival in Torrox, Andalucia
Torrox in Andalucia offers visitors a taste of traditional local cuisine on the final Sunday before Christmas every year.
The Migas Festival is based around the local dish of migas, a traditional Andalucian peasant dish which consists of breadcrumbs fried in olive oil with small pieces of mutton.
Cooked in huge cauldrons in the main square of Torrox, locals and visitors alike are invited to take part in the event with bowlfuls of the food handed out to anyone in the square.
The migas is accompanied by a glass of locally-made wine, as well as a portion of 'ensaladilla', or traditional Spanish potato salad.
However, there is more to this traditional festival than food, Torrox - which claims to have the best climate in Europe - also uses the event to host music and dancing to accompany the feast.
Thousands of people attend the event every year, with people coming from around the world to sample the traditional food and enjoy the superb atmosphere.
