High-speed train links Andalucia to Madrid
The new line links Madrid to Malaga and takes just over two hours to complete its journey.
Jose Luis Rodriguez Zapatero, the Spanish prime minister, opened the service that reaches speeds of up to 350 kilometres an hour.
This means that holiday makers taking a villa break in Andalucia now have easy to access to the Spanish capital as well as being able to enjoy the traditional aspects of a holiday on the Spanish coastline.
Just north of Nerja is the town of Frigiliana which is placed on a mountain range that overlooks the sea.
Spectacular views of the ocean and countryside can be seen from the small town and the town also has historical significance to Andalucia.
El Fuerte is the scene of the defeat of the Moors of La Axarquia in their rebellion in 1569 and visitors can see a small ruined fort that sits on top of the hill.
