Holiday makers staying in a villa in Andalucia may wish to take in a number of flamenco-themed events in the Spanish region which run throughout the months of August and September.
Andalucia.com reported that events such as Flamenco In The Square, which takes place every Wednesday at noon in the city of Mijas, prove popular with tourists and that other flamenco events are also set to take place throughout the region in the coming months.
One of these is the ongoing concert series Nos Vemos en tu Pena - a series of 35 flamenco music concerts set to take place throughout the region between September 19th and December 13th in locations such as Marbella, Estepona, Dardales and Riogordo, among others.
According to the site, Andalucia's festivals and fiestas are full of romance, music and dance. The region may be ideal for holiday makers on a villa break who have a rental car, as the site claims the most authentic and traditional flamenco displays can be found in smaller towns and villages.
Flamenco fans may also be interested in the Museo del Baile Flamenco (Flamenco Dance Museum), which is located in Sevilla and promoted by flamenco dancer Cristina Hoyos.
