Eating and hiking in an Andalucia villa

The Guardian has this weekend profiled a restaurant in the region which combines Middle Eastern delicacies with Spanish specialities.

Meals to be savoured at the Fountainhead restaurant include olives infused with cumin and orange and Lebanese meatballs with harissa.

A deli is also integrated into the restaurant, while tapas is available at a nearby village for holiday makers planning to combine meals in their Tuscany villa with eating out.

"Malaga, Granada and the coast are within easy reach, but there's hiking through the mountains to spot hoopoes and woodpeckers, right on the doorstep," the publication observes.

Andalucia is divided into eight provinces, which include Seville and Huelva as well as Granada and Malaga.

The Rough Guide to Andalucia observes that the region is largely responsible for the popular image of Spain.
