Andalucia authorities have earmarked millions of euros to improve more than a dozen beaches along the coastline.
According to Euro Weekly New, the beaches in the region are the "main tourist destination in Andalucia" and authorities want to continue to attract holiday makers with "first-class facilities".
"The initiative aims to achieve a sustainable and balanced model that will preserve the coast and its natural spaces," the news provider says.
Holiday makers who stay in Cantarrijan can get the best of both worlds as it can be found in an area of national park that enjoys tremendous views out to sea and across the lush, green Spanish countryside
Those in a hire car can also use it as the place to explore the region's entire coastline.
