According to Typically Spanish, the Malaga born star visited the newly reformed Echegaray theatre as soon as he entered Andalucia.
The theatre can be found in the city centre near the cathedral and the actor has described it as a "marvellous theatre which must be included in the agendas of the people of Malaga".
He added: "It's marvellous, a jewel […] and now it must be filled with content".
The newspaper reported that he joked that if the venue had been there when he was younger, he never would have left the city - and villa holiday makers may not want to head back to Blighty after seeing the wonderful sights of Andalucia.
Holiday makers renting a villa Torrox could see the theatre for themselves on a day trip to the marvellous city of Malaga.
