A welcome excursion from a cheap villa in Andalucia, paragliding has been popular in the area since the 1980s and many parts of the region are now hotbeds for the exhilarating sport.
Particularly popular among paragliders are the Atlantic beaches of Tarifa and also inland Cadiz over the landscape of the Grazalema Natural Park.
For those who prefer snow to greenery or the sea, the Sierra Nevada Mountains in Granada province offer the chance to paraglide over snow capped hills under bright blue sky.
Paragliding - which is quite distinct to hang gliding - involves the use of an aerofoil canopy which allows a paraglider to fly on wind and air currents.
After all this, it's likely that participants will be happy to go back to relaxing in their cheap villa in Andalucia.
