Andalucia holidays 'drawing tourists to Spain'
Figures from the Ministry for Industry, Tourism and Commerce Spain revealed that Andalucia holidays were the third most popular choice for travellers to the country in the first half of the year.
Between January and June, the number of people visiting Spain from overseas increased by 2.6 per cent compared to the same period in 2007, reaching 26.6 million, reports Euroresidentes.
And more British tourists visited the country than holiday makers from any other single nation, with UK roamers representing 27.5 per cent of the total - a one per cent rise since a year earlier.
In other news that may be of interest to people booking Andalucia holidays, a representative of TripAdvisor recently commented that people are still booking trips abroad, despite the credit crunch.
Ian Rumgay, European communications manager with the organisation, said that its research indicated that people have no intention of sacrificing their holiday.
