Basking in sunshine for most of the year and with picturesque resorts such as Nerja, Torrox, Marbella and Cantarrijan, it is little wonder that visitors continue to return year after year.
Official figures show that more than 900,000 visitors travelled to Marbella alone between January and July 2008, representing an 8.1 per cent increase on the previous year.
Meanwhile, it looks as though autumn could also be busy, with a recent study by Abbey estimating that 15 million Britons will jet off to warmer climes over the coming months and with an average of 320 days of sunshine annually, Andalucia is an ideal holiday destination.
According to TripAdvisor, some of the most popular attractions in Andalucia include the Alhambra, Alcazar and Casa de Pilatos.
