Andalucia beaches receive 'spring clean'

In preparation for holiday makers packing their lotion and heading for some spring Spanish sun, Andalucia authorities will make its beaches immaculate and even bring in some new soft white sand to top it all off.

According to Typically Spanish, ten beaches will receive a polish and those who rent a villa in Torrox will find that their nearby beach will be one of the recipients of this investment.

The newspaper claims that 2.1 million euros will be spent in total and 300,000 cubic metres of sand is to be used in the project.

Torrox is a typically Spanish resort and boasts a striking promenade that is home to a healthy collection of restaurants, cafes and bars.

Furthermore, with nine kilometres of clean coastline, holiday makers are sure to be able to find their own quiet spot for some relaxation under the rays.
