'New attraction' on an Andalucia holiday
Euro Weekly News has reported that visitors to Fuengirola Zoo can now visit a baby pygmy hippopotamus that was born weighing just five kilograms at the end of last year.
According to the publication, one of the zoo's primary responsibilities is to house endangered species, as their reproduction is vital - and those who visit the zoo can see a whole host of other endangered species.
This is the third time that this particular species has reproduced in the zoo and last year "only seven pygmy hippos were conceived in Europe and nine in the rest of the world".
A villa in Torrox offers the opportunity for holiday makers to really get away from it all, with many of then found at the end of unsurfaced mountain roads so you get the feeling of exploring unchartered Spanish territory.
Meanwhile, you can also pack a picnic and set off for a day trip to see the baby pygmy hippopotamus at Fuengirola Zoo.
