The Inaer system will now offer consumers an early-morning flight in each direction, taking the total number of transfers to four per day, reports Typically Spanish.
According to the news website, Inaer is Spain's only passenger helicopter service.
Of course, Malaga is a popular destination and one that is accessible via other means of transport.
It is also the location for the Spanish Film Festival, which began on April 17th.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, a range of the country's hottest movie-makers and stars, such as Antonio Banderas, are set to make an appearance.
"Malaga is a must for anyone interested in the Spanish film industry," the event's organiser Fernando Mendez Leite told the magazine.
New theatres are part of this year's festival, as well as a big screen in a central square in the town.
