"Incredible" Alhambra could be the highlight of an Andalaucia villa holiday
A huge and intricate palace, it comprises a sizeable chunk of the city centre and visitors are urged by in-spain.info to set aside a whole day to visit all of its wonders and book in advance if they are visiting in the summer of 2009.
Although there are many fabulous sights to be seen, representatives of the palace claim that the Patio of the Lions is probably the most famous of the Alhambra.
The area takes its name from the 12 lions that throw jets of water and are part of the fountain in the middle of the patio. It is claimed to be one of the most important examples of Muslim sculpture.
Holiday makers who are heading to Andalucia to sample its beauty may choose to stay in a villa the dazzling village of Frigliani, which lies at the foothills of the Sierra de Tejeda mountains and is best placed to explore both Granada and Malaga.
