"Botany buffs" could take an Andalucia holiday

Travel writer Annie Bennett has said that the botanical gardens were created back in 1855 by a local member of the aristocracy and his English spouse.

Writing in the Guardian, she says that the attraction, which is just outside of Malaga, is a "mix of subtropical forest and romantic garden".

It could be ideal for young couples to spend a romantic day out and they could even pack a picnic.

"Seeing the basics takes an hour, but botany buffs will want to stay all day," the travel expert adds.

Around 40 minutes away from Malaga is the typical Spanish village of Torrox, which boasts beautiful views over the mountains and sea - and it could be a haven for holiday makers.
