Motorsport lovers have the chance to catch some high-octane action inside an award-winning facility if they snap up villas in the Algarve.

Portimao's Autodromo Internacional do Algarve circuit has been honoured with the title of the 2011 Superbike Organiser Award by Infront Motor Sports.

The organisation was keen to stress that the efforts of the venue's "professional and motivated staff" is one of the reasons for the decision.

"From a promotional, logistical and sporting point of view, the circuit guaranteed the required standards that helped everyone in the superbike paddock to work in the best possible way in 2011," Infront Motor Sports added.

The company's chief executive, Paolo Flammini, was also keen to note how the AIA circuit management and the Autodromo Internacional do Algarve circuit's staff have achieved "a fantastic job" over the past year.

Since opening its doors in 2008, the Autodromo Internacional do Algarve circuit has presented the A1, Le Mans and FIA GT events, as well as being the base for some of the Formula One test programs.
