Why not seek out Medieval Fair while in Algarve villas?

Holiday makers who want to step back in time should snap up last minute flights to villas in the Algarve.

That is because the city of Silves, which can be found in the west of the popular Portuguese resort, is preparing to host its eighth Medieval Fair.

Between the dates of August 9th and 15th, the area will be transformed to reflect a time gone by, complete with sights, flavours and sounds linked with the era.

People who head along to the attraction after arriving in Algarve villas will be able to witness a series of street performances and live music gigs, as well as dance acts and dazzling re-enactments.

A grand banquet will also be put on each night that the Medieval Fair graces Silves, with scrumptious recipes being prepared by well-known chef Chakall from 21:30 local time.

Silves is home to a wide array of tourist attractions which are sure to attract Brits, including the awe-inspiring monument of Castelo de Silves and the three metre high limestone cross of the Cruz de Portugal.
