Visit Algarve villas to watch Grand Champions

Long-time tennis fans may want to snap up villas in the Algarve resort of Vale do Lobo to see some legends of the sport take to the court.

The Portuguese resort's Tennis Academy will be the host of the Grand Champions event, which is part of the Delta ATP Senior Tour Championships, between the dates of August 9th and 12th.

A well-known legend of tennis already confirmed for the attraction is Thomas Enqvist, who will be looking to defend the title.

The Swedish sportsman achieved the honour last year by overcoming fellow icon Thomas Muster 6-4 6-4 in last year's final.

Commenting on the match at the time, Enqvist noted: "I had to play some strong tennis to win."

Tennis enthusiasts who book up Algarve villas to see the event are sure to be in for a treat when Enqvist takes to the court, seeing as though he won 19 ATP titles during his 15-year professional career.

Another highlight for the star came in 1999, when his skill on the court led him to reach the final of the Australian Open, where he was thwarted in a tight match against Yevgeny Kafelnikov.
