Villa in Carvoeiro 'a fantastic place for relaxing holiday'
Britons in search of a spot of peace in beautiful surroundings should head for a villa in Carvoeiro, if one holiday maker is correct.
Rebecca Dorkins, responding to the Daily Telegraph's appeal for its readers' favourite destinations in Europe, explains the Algarve resort is a particularly tranquil one.
She notes it was a "fantastic place for a short, relaxing holiday" in her own travel experiences, with the town's shoreline a definite highlight.
"Carvoeiro beach is popular with families for good reason - fish grilled on the barbecue and fantastic service made Tia Ilda a favourite restaurant here," Ms Dorkins advises.
People staying in villas in Carvoeiro over the coming months may consider themselves in a perfect location from which to explore the rest of the Algarve, with the tourist recommending Centianes as a top coastal retreat.
British Airways recently announced a new route between London City Airport and Faro in the south of Portugal, which is due to open in June.
