Tuck into some seafood on an Algarve villa holiday
People with a soft spot for seafood should make sure they pay a visit to Olhao during an Algarve villa holiday this summer.
The 2010 Olhao Seafood Festival will take place at Jardim Pescador Olhanense between August 10th and 15th.
On each day of the event, a different world-class chef will take on the challenge of creating an innovative dish for members of the public to try.
The festival provides the opportunity for people taking Algarve villa holidays and other breaks in the region to sample genuine local cuisine, rather than the quick and easy meals on offer in tourist resorts.
In addition to the food, visitors will be able to enjoy concerts, folk dancing and singing.
The Olhao Seafood Festival is part of the Allgarve '10 cultural programme, which will also include the second outing of the Cataplana Experience at Vilamoura marina in Loule from September 1st to 5th.
People planning to visit southern Portugal this year can ensure they have a relaxing and comfortable stay by booking villas in Albufeira, Carvoeiro or Monte Santo.
