Taking medical supplies to Algarve villas could prevent sickness
Holidaymakers who are preparing to pack their bags for a getaway abroad, perhaps to villas in the Algarve, have been urged not to forget about taking some medical supplies.
The advice has been issued after research carried out by Spink found that 18 per cent of people are losing either one or two days of their trip overseas by falling ill.
In fact, seven million of the 20 million Brits who travel abroad from the UK each year suffer sickness during their trip.
Such a figure may not be helped by the fact that 66 per cent of holidaymakers are failing to carry medical supplies with them when jetting away.
Furthermore, 89 per cent of those studied may be putting themselves at further risk of health problems by failing to realise how to correctly medicate heartburn.
People will want to avoid becoming ill as much as possible while in Algarve villas, with such attractions as Festival Med and Festival do Marisco coming to venues across the Portuguese destination throughout the summer.
