Submerged Art event extended in the Algarve
People who are heading to villas in the Algarve and are looking to take in unique adventures may be pleased to hear of an extension of an exhibition in the region.
The Submerged Art attraction will now be taking place up until September 25th due to its popularity, the Portimao Museum disclosed.
According to The Portugal News, holiday makers who head along to the exhibition have the chance to glance upon an estimated 200 handmade ceramic items that have been sculpted by Swiss artist Sylvain Bongard.
Describing the event in more detail, a statement by Portimao Town Hall stated: "The action of the sea and the passage of time are the inspiration for this exhibition by Mr Bongard, who has lived in the Algarve for around 40 years."
Portimao has plenty of other attractions to tempt those occupying Algarve villas to consider a visit.
As well as a variety of shops in the town for families to gather in their souvenirs, the resort also has a relaxing river front to stroll along and the Manuel Bivar gardens to explore.
