Stay in 'uber-swanky' Quinta do Lago on an Algarve villa holiday

In an article for the Mirror, Rhiannon Vivian described the resort as "uber-swanky" and pointed out that numerous celebrities, including Cliff Richard and Madonna, have their own holiday homes there.

She said Quinta do Lago is an "undisturbed haven" which boasts blue skies and sizzling heat, as well as some fantastic golf courses and beautiful sandy beaches.

Indeed, she pointed out that the "powder-soft" beach along which the resort sits stretches for some 16 miles, from Faro to Vilamoura.

Here, holiday makers can relax on their sun loungers, take a dip in the sea or sample some delicious fresh seafood at one of the many beachside restaurants.

Ms Vivian recommended a visit to the luxury boutiques of Quinta do Lago for some A-list shopping and a trip to the nearby resort of Monte da Quinta for some sophisticated evenings out.

Those eager to experience the high life on an Algarve holiday could rent their own villa in Quinta de Lago, which is just 20 minutes away from Faro airport.
