Snooker Grand Final arrives in the Algarve

According to organisers, the tournament represents the culmination of more than a year's hard work and holiday makers could be there to see who wins.

"We have some of the greatest players on the planet on parade, all desperate to go down in history as the proud victors of this showcase event," they say.

It will be played at the Portimao Arena between May 8th and 10th.

Holiday makers renting a villa in the beautiful Algarve resort of Jardim da Meia Praia, which is set in beautiful landscaped sub-tropical gardens, are not far from where all the action will be taking place.

Fans of sport also have a choice of golf courses in the area, while the historical and cultural hub of Lagos is only a short distance away.
