Ryanair opens new access to Algarve villas
Holiday makers will be able to seek out more opportunities to visit villas in the Algarve, thanks to new flights to the destination by Ryanair.
The low-fare airline has started offering routes from the Robin Hood Airport to the travel hob in Faro – a gateway to the sights of the Portuguese hotspot.
Brits in the Doncaster and Sheffield areas were first treated to the additional flights on Tuesday (March 29th) and will fly out every Tuesday and Saturday throughout the summer, finishing in late October.
Nick Smillie, aviation sales director for Peel Airports, has said that the new Ryanair route will "benefit" those looking to fly out to Portuguese locations like the Algarve.
He added: "Our Alicante route is incredibly popular and we anticipate that Faro will prove to be just as successful as we continue to build upon our growth as an airport serving South Yorkshire and the wider region."
Those who book up Algarve villas between August 9th and 12th will be treated to the Grand Champions, a tennis event which forms part of the Delta ATP Senior Tour Championships and features many legendary names of the sport.
