Ria Formosa 'is a must when on holiday in the Algarve'

People who choose to get away from the cold weather and rain of the UK by taking a holiday in the Algarve over the coming months have been advised of one beautiful spot they must visit.

Nuno Aires, president of the Algarve Tourism Board, says Ria Formosa Natural Park should not be missed, as it provides beauty and picturesque views in abundance.

Such a location may be ideal for those who love the great outdoors, perhaps for walking or cycling purposes, while others might simply fancy a day away from their luxury villa or local beach.

"The Natural Park of Ria Formosa and the sandy beaches along the coastline of that natural park would be a place to go to definitely," Mr Aires states.

Other attractions available to those on holiday in the Algarve include numerous golf courses and a diverse landscape.

Travelsupermarket.com recently identified the Algarve as one of the top ten places to take a holiday in 2011.
