People staying in villas in Albufeira this summer will have the opportunity to join in with some festivities in the town.
The Al'Buhera Festival, which has been arranged as part of the Allgarve '10 cultural programme, will take place between July 21st and 25th.
According to the organisers of this year's Allgarve programme, the festival is "an entirely different kind of event" that will offer "five nights of great cultural enrichment" for Algarve villa guests and other visitors to enjoy.
The festival will boast various elements, including a handicraft fair featuring more than 50 stallholders, where holiday makers will have the chance to pick up an array of gifts and souvenirs.
People staying in villas in Albufeira will also be invited to try a selection of regional confectionery, as well as foods from other countries around the world.
Several other towns in southern Portugal will be hosting events for this year's Allgarve season, including Alcoutim, which will present a performance by Australian singer Gabriella Cilmi on July 3rd.
