Plenty to see by visiting Equinostrum while in Algarve villas

Families who are planning a trip to villas in the Algarve this autumn may be interested to hear of a new equestrian centre that is being introduced to the Portuguese region.

Equinostrum is a fresh venue for fun-filled activities for Brits to enjoy if they are staying in the resort of Faro.

Part of the area's Ria Formosa natural park, the location will offer guests an array of interests to pursue, including bird watching and hippotherapy.

The site has even been approved for horse riding activities by the Sports Institute of Portugal, while those staying in Algarve villas can also relax and participate in some yoga classes or experience the thrill of archery.

Julio Coutinho, a director at the centre, acknowledged: "Equinostrum was created as an equestrian club, but it is not limited to equestrian activities, we have the space and conditions to offer other leisure and cultural activities."

Those visiting the Algarve in the coming weeks may also want to check out an exhibition by artist Rachel Ramirez, who specialises in the Japanese technique of gyotaku.

According to Algarve Daily News, the attraction will be open to the public on September 17th and 18th at the Galeria Corte-Real.
