Plenty of fun days out available around Algarve villas
Families who are hoping to enjoy a holiday in villas in the Algarve have been given some advice on where to visit during their stay in the Portuguese region.
Martina Kerk, the product manager at the Sun & Sea, Algarve Promotion Bureau, acknowledged that there are many attractions to discover while in this tourist hotspot.
For one, the expert recommended that holiday makers pay a visit to the Ria Formosa Natural Park so that they can relax around picturesque islands and lagoons.
"Covering over 18,000 hectares, it is ideal for hiking and sailing and is home to a variety of wildlife species," Ms Kerk noted.
Those staying in Algarve villas in the east of the region have also been advised to venture to the town of Tavira, which has an abundance of "historic churches and fine mansions as well as a plethora of excellent restaurants".
Motorsport fans are also in a treat if they snap up holidays in the Algarve and visit Portimao's Autodromo Internacional do Algarve circuit, seeing as though the venue has recently picked up Infront Motor Sports' 2011 Superbike Organiser Award.
