New travel options for Algarve holiday makers announced
People who use Robin Hood Airport in South Yorkshire will find it easier than ever to enjoy a holiday in the Algarve next year, after a new service was announced.
Budget airline Ryanair will run flights from the travel hub to Faro, located in the heart of the popular Portuguese coastal region.
The route is joined by another new service linking Robin Hood with Tenerife, both of which will operate in conjunction with the carrier's existing flights to Alicante.
"Two new routes for 2011 with Ryanair is great news for Doncaster Sheffield Airport and the passengers who fly from South Yorkshire," says Nick Smillie, aviation sales director for Peel Airports.
He adds he believes the route to holidays in the Algarve will be popular with passengers, just like those to Alicante.
Louise Morrish, a tourist recalling her experiences in a letter to the Daily Telegraph, recently said the combination of beautiful beaches and fun activities make trips to southern Portugal a great idea.
